A unique architecture

The house is a modern tropical style eco-construction with a unique architecture.

It was built with respect for the environment (integration, respect for the forest, solar energy, water treatment system, eco-responsible materials, innovative water treatment system ….)

The architect Luz de Piedra was awarded the Premio Nacional Bienal 2012 national architecture prize for this building. It has been the subject of several publications.

The house has 5 rooms for 10 people

​

Each room has its own dressing room and private bathroom. They are beautifully decorated and have a small desk / dressing table. All rooms are equipped with a ceiling fan.

The 4 rooms located on the first floor are identical and open on a roof garden and the top of the trees that border the house. Two rooms have two single beds, the other two have a queen size bed. Completely closed by mosquito nets or moucharabiehs, they allow the occupants to enjoy, permanently, the incredible wild life.

The 5th room located on the first floor is a luxurious owner’s room. Equipped with a king size bed, a large bathroom and a small desk.

The kitchen is fully equipped. The kitchen/dining/living room area is totally sheltered and open to the outside, allowing you to enjoy the lush nature at any time.

The property is guarded 24 hours a day, the housekeeping is done daily, a chef is at your service to prepare and serve you breakfast, lunch and dinner, a maager is at your disposal to make your stay exceptional.

Casa Atrevida is located in the best preserved and most fascinating region of Costa Rica, described by the National Geographic as “the most biologically intense place on the planet”.

Located in a National Refuge (Refugio national de vida silvestre Platanares Preciosa), you will enjoy a wild and lush environment, next to a beautiful deserted beach.

The house is only 6 km from Puerto Jimenez which has all the services of a small town: airport, hospital, supermarkets, gas station, banks, restaurants…

This unique situation allows you to discover, on the spot, the extraordinary natural treasures of the Osa Peninsula.

Numerous activities are possible from or near the house (boat tours on the gulf starting from the beach in front of the house, kayaking in the mangrove behind the house, hiking, observation of fauna and flora, swimming on the beach, various activities…)
